The Gray Brothers are a formidable presence of raw Alt-Country and Noir Folk-Rock, hailing from the Kimberley.
Albert, Harry and Elwood grew up in some of Australia’s remotest deserts, travelling in a beaten up ute. Night’s were spent thrashing an old acoustic guitar around the campfire, learning songs by Neil Young, Midnight Oil and Hank Williams.
The family eventually settled in Broome. Playing a variety of gigs from a young age the boys were quickly embraced and well loved by the local music scene. From the sticky depths of local pubs to street festivals and the opening slots for major touring acts, the Gray Brothers’ music became a natural part of Broome music culture.
