The Boogie Men

The Boogie Men play at the Prince on Saturday 2nd March 2019 with guests Whiskey Dogs. The gig is the Saturday of the Labour Day long weekend which is just as well because you’re going to need 2 days to recover from this onslaught!
The Boogie Men are Damon Buckley (Drums/Vocals), Leon Buswell (Bass) and Craig Best (Guitar/Vocals), three rockers from Bunbury, Western Australia. The band originated after a chance encounter at a birthday party and a tipsy agreement to get together for a jam.
Well regarded players on the local rock scene they draw influence from uncompromising outfits like Canned Heat, AC/DC, Doctor Feelgood and Motorhead. They’ve evolved into a powerful trio combining grungy guitars and pile-driving drums to generate an intense brand of high energy boogie rock.
The Boogie Men have honed a set of original, muscular and lively rock riffs that please the ear and heat the feet. They play at the Prince on the 2nd March in what promises to be a cracking show, joined by fellow southwest act Whiskey Dogs.
A Boogie Men show is raw, relentless and real. Also real fun. For these guys rock is not a hobby nor is it a living. It’s a bloody compulsion.
