Reuben Stone had a massive 2017, and is going in 2018 with a bang.
He has recently opened for UB40 on their Australian summer tour and quickly followed that up with back to back national runs with Tash Sultana and Pierce Brothers.
Reuben’s background as a street performer has built him a solid, well polished live show that has seen him not only secure some of the most prestigious opening slots in Australia but sell out his own headline shows in Melbourne and Sydney as well.
He has defined his sound merging influences from various acoustic and electronic codes. A multi-instrumentalist defiantly layering guitar, bass, trombone, beat boxing, and a synthesizer in loop sections to create entire songs on the fly. A landscape of soulful undertones tightly packed with chunky beats, fused with ambient vocals and dub delays.
Reuben’s prospects for the future are already bright with further collaborations amongst Australia’s leading touring acts and having relentlessly spread the word to large-scale international events, like Burning Man, Shambhala, The Singapore Grand Prix & Queenscliff Festival to name but a few.
